The carpentry workshop to heat is a ​​shed 8000 m³ large in the Cremona district; it houses the edgebanding and gluing woodwork department with operating machines and vacuum units, where 18 degrees must be maintained.

This shed in the province of Brescia houses a historic factory where wood-chipping and bio-shredding machines are made.
The shed to be heated is a 7 meter high hall which includes:

• 2,000 square meters production area.
• 1,900 square meters production area.
• Aisle (where the machine has been positioned) and contiguous 1.500 square meters warehouse.

These three areas cover about 5.500 square meters, for a total of around 38.500 cubic meters.

The customer required a temperature of about 14-15 degrees.

The shed was previously heated by an old 500 kW, low-efficiency methane hot air generator: not enough heat at high costs of operation.

The areas to be heated within the shed are contiguous but divided by a wall: it was decided to develop a solution capable of supplying the entire warmth requirement with a single pellet hot air generator.

• Pellet 350 kW hot air generator with 600 KG tank

  The pellet air heater has enough power to heat the two zones, in this case through a specifically designed supply plenum to split the hot air flows. However, the remaining aisle and warehouse are partially heated by a third outlet, which allows forklift drivers to operate with sufficient comfort and warmth.
  Heating via outlet plenum follows the same operation as the traditional adjustable vents installed on the top of all AirCalor heaters: warm air is launched into the room, while cooler air is drawn in from below, creating a virtuous flow. Moreover, the machine operates only when needed, and its modulating system acts on demand, progressively decreasing the power rate until it shuts down completely: this reduces costs and cuts fuel waste to zero.

• Weekly programmable wireless thermostat
  The thermostat allows you to program the on/off switching of the pellet air heater at will.
• Intake air filter drawer
  The filter drawer purifies the air that is taken in and consequently fed back into the environment by the generator. It also performs a protective function, convenient for preventing any foreign matter from being sucked in by the intake turbine.

Efficient heating of two separate areas in the shed

The burner has very short ignition times and reaches the required temperatures in less time: this allows the customer to be more productive and to process materials under the best possible conditions.
In addition, the Bluenergy pellet air heater with condensing technology meets the increasingly strict environmental regulations, generating heat in an environmentally sustainable way.

The solution chosen allows two different areas of the hall to be heated with a single hot air generator placed in a small space.

The heater automatically shuts down on weekends and turns back on in the early morning at the beginning of the week, so that the staff can operate in a heated environment right from the start of their shifts. These settings can be customized to meet any need thanks to the wireless weekly thermostat.
